My father, Antonio De Oliveira Bernardes, immigrated to South Africa at a young age, bringing with him the entrepreneurial spirit of his traditional Portuguese family. He successfully ran his own business, and although he never pursued photography, he had an exceptional eye for detail. He was always the first to offer constructive feedback, helping me refine my craft. I owe my passion for photography and my success to his guidance, along with the unwavering support of my mother, Sharon, and my brother, Marcell Bernardes, who encouraged me as I completed my photography course.

Despite facing numerous challenges, I continued to pursue my love for photography, eventually gaining recognition with my work featured on magazine and newspaper covers. Over time, Werner Bekker and Michelle De Villiers joined the MV Photography team. Sadly, Werner passed away in 2019, but Michelle, with her creative flair and innovative ideas, has since taken the reins. Together, we form an unstoppable photography duo, with over 15 years in business and more than 300 weddings under our belt. Our strong bond, mutual respect, and shared passion ensure that every detail of your special day is captured with skill and imagination.

Werner Bekker and Michelle De Villiers joined the team of MV Photography later in my career. In 2019, Werner passed away.
